You often hear that you need to exercise regularly to manage your physical fitness, right? I started exercising for similar reasons, and now I've become a fitness enthusiast.
Especially with the arrival of winter, gym PTs offering systematic training have become a hot topic, piquing my interest. Among the gyms in Banpo, Banpo PT is known for its state-of-the-art facilities and systematic training programs. I'll introduce Refresh Club Banpo PT, which I personally visited, and explain in detail why you should start exercising here. Why did I choose Banpo PT?
I feel that managing physical fitness is becoming increasingly important, and it's difficult to maintain a healthy life without exercise. I felt my physical fitness declining, so I decided to visit Refresh Club, rather than just working out at home. Refresh Club is a PT-specialized center located in Banpo. Situated on the 2nd floor of Dongwha Plaza, in the heart of Gangnam, it's easily accessible and boasts a private atmosphere.

Upon arriving at the Refresh Club center, you'll start with a detailed consultation and InBody check. After carefully assessing your fitness goals, current body shape, and health status, they create a personalized program. Because I run marathons, I use my lower body and ankles a lot, and they tailored the workout plan to this. For example, the program is tailored to various goals such as weight loss, strength building, and posture correction. Also, the instructors are friendly, so even exercise beginners could easily follow along. What particularly impressed me was that they didn't just use equipment, but provided systematic training after stretching and relaxing the muscles.
What are the internal facilities of Refresh Club Banpo PT?
The biggest advantage of Refresh Club was its clean facilities and atmosphere. The gym is located on the 2nd floor and is largely mirrored, creating a spacious feel. The interior is bright and energetic, perfect for working out. There are individual lockers for convenient storage, and separate spaces are available for showering and freshening up after exercise. This was great because I could go to another appointment right after exercising.

After checking your condition, we start with myofascial release and stretching. As someone who uses a computer a lot, I have a slightly hunched back, a condition many office workers can relate to. Because of this, my shoulders are uneven. This caused my right shoulder to be stiff whenever I run.
After measuring the height difference in my shoulders, they loosened the muscles through myofascial release and stretching. The trainer's attentive touch, rather than simply using machines, noticeably evened out my shoulder height. In addition, hip joint stretching and rectus femoris relaxation helped identify the cause of my persistent knee pain.
When not at the gym, they also recommended some simple exercises to do at home. They guided me through exercises to improve upper body stability, as round shoulders and poor posture affect breathing efficiency when running. After that, I did exercises for upper body correction and enhanced performance.
Thanks to the trainer's detailed feedback, I could feel the muscles working even with lighter weights.
As a runner, upper body stability is just as important as lower body strength. Going beyond simple strength training or weight loss goals, they provided a customized program that considered my weaknesses and injury history.
I activated my hip and gluteal muscles with squats and deadlifts to improve stability. With subtle adjustments to my posture, I felt much more engaged even with lighter weights than usual.
Those who enjoy exercise will know that with an injury, squats and deadlifts with weight are out of the question. But this program helped with training, physical recovery, and performance enhancement simultaneously, offering a new perspective on my existing training methods.
Finally, I finished with core exercises, which I find the most challenging. Maintaining the positions is harder than generating power, but through detailed guidance, I'm steadily improving my weaknesses.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Refresh Club Banpo PT
1. Clean facilities and a systematic program. 2. Professional trainers are friendly and provide comprehensive fitness management, making it accessible even for exercise beginners. 3. A wide range of equipment and facilities for cardio and strength training are available. The only downside is that, being 1:1 PT rather than group training, the cost may be higher. Personally, I think it's better to invest the time and do it right, especially for those who have experienced injuries from exercising alone.
