Gyeongju Marathon: How to Fully Enjoy the Cherry Blossom Hotspot

Hello, I'm #Running Creator

Runninghaeyoung. On April 6th, when the cherry blossoms were

in full bloom, I visited Gyeongju to see the cherry blossoms.

I arrived at the Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex.

I drove from Seoul to Gyeongju

and left early in the morning, so

it was a pretty tough schedule...

Actually, I was also

visiting my hometown,

so I didn't feel as much pressure about being in Gyeongju.

The course was a 21km route starting from Gyeongju Bomun Lake, passing through Hwangseong Park,

and returning to the starting point. I didn't take a picture of the commemorative items,

but there was a cherry blossom-colored T-shirt and Amino Vital.

They were available.

The date and operation were truly excellent.

During the 21km run, there were a total of 4 water stations, as well as

some gentle inclines and declines,

and wide roads.

Oh, and there were lots of cheering squads too.

Plus, since I live in Gyeongju,

I'm familiar with the area,

but during cherry blossom season,

it's usually packed with cars...

They completely closed off the roads,

so I could enjoy the cherry blossoms while running.

It was a truly romantic experience.

The return route along Bomun Lake was uphill,

so a lot of people were taking pictures instead of running, lol.

Everyone was there to enjoy themselves,

and it made me happy too.

I finished the race easily. I took a lot of great photos with the cherry blossoms.

And after the race, they gave us

3 kinds of oat drinks, Oh Yes cream bread,

water, and other things.

They even added more noodles to the cold buckwheat noodle soup,

and were very generous.

I ran in the Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Marathon and shared a brief review.

If I have the chance next year,

I definitely want to participate again. It's a very satisfying marathon.
