Hello, I'm Runninghaeyoung, a woman who loves exercise. We held a pre-event for participants in the Red Bull 400 Pyeongchang competition. It was a running event that went over Namsan Mountain and arrived at Itaewon Haebangchon Sinheung Market.
To briefly explain the Red Bull 400 Pyeongchang competition, it's a steep uphill running challenge where you run backwards up a ski jump that's as high as a 40-story building with a maximum incline of 38 degrees. It will be held at the Pyeongchang Ski Jumping Center on September 21st. There was one pre-event at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza and a second one at Itaewon Haebangchon Sinheung Market, a total of two. The timing for the Sinheung Market event was perfect! The pre-event made me even more excited for the upcoming Red Bull 400 competition.
The uphill race experience over Namsan Mountain with Garmin Coach was like a comfortable jog for experienced runners, but I think it was quite challenging for those running Namsan for the first time.
Since we met at sunset, we took breaks in between to enjoy the sunset before arriving at Haebangchon Sinheung Market.
This was my first time visiting Sinheung Market, and they had made various preparations for the rooftop party. I even saw the T1 cans, collaborating with the world's first four-time League of Legends World Championship winner! Red Bull T1 Hero Can (only Faker was visible..)
On the first floor, there was a Garmin event booth, and they were giving away cocktails mixed with Red Bull when you posted a story. I even got an umbrella there!
We could freely enjoy the Red Bull on ice, and after some free time, we participated in the lucky draw and went home.
The way back was longer (I parked on Namsan), but I'll go and challenge the competition with a happy heart.
Red Bull 400, an extreme race that runs backwards up a height comparable to a 40-story building, will be held in Pyeongchang on September 21st. Apply now by searching for ‘Red Bull 400’ on Interpark Ticket! http://inpk.kr/redbull400 It seems like registration is still open, so I'm including the link.
