There's a special marathon held every January. It's called the Sunyang Bare-Body Marathon, also known as the nude marathon, a unique way to enjoy the New Year.
The Sunyang Bare-Body Marathon is held with the hope that young people will have a hopeful and healthy new year. Participants under the age of 20 can participate for free.
Running along the Gapcheon River in Daejeon, passing through Hanbat Arboretum, Yurim Park, KAIST, and Science Park, this marathon allows you to enjoy nature and the city, admire beautiful reed beds and clear waterways, making it a unique way to welcome the new year with loved ones.
Start Time: January 1st, 11:11:11 AM to welcome the New Year!
This unique marathon, starting with the bare-body marathon in 2016, has become a unique event nationwide.

While there are various events, there is a dress code for this nude marathon.
Rice cake distribution, flower powder cheering, pumpkin breaking, body painting, wish wall, photo wall, participation certificate, Sunyang photo studio, TEA booth, cute character photo points at the 5km mark, cheering at the turnaround/finish line, music section at the finish line (events subject to change)
Men: Top - No shirt / Bottom - Shorts, tights, etc. Women: Top - Tank top, sports bra, sleeveless top / Bottom - Shorts, tights, etc.
The course starts from Expo Bridge, passes through Daejeok Bridge, Gapcheon Intersection, Yurim Park, Guseong Three-way Intersection, Maebong Bridge, Daejeok Bridge, and finishes at Expo Bridge.
