Marathon race participation gifts that you naturally acquire by frequently participating in marathons. With a house overflowing with athletic wear, what is an effective way to organize them?
If you consistently exercise, you will accumulate more athletic wear than you think. I also started with one or two sets, but I was tempted by new styles every time I exercised, and I bought various products according to the season, and as the seasons changed, I looked for thinner and lighter clothes. Before I knew it, my athletic wear overflowed my closet.
However, when I tried to dispose of this accumulated athletic wear, it was too precious to throw away, but it occupied space, so I was worried. I had heard that I didn't know where the clothes put in the clothing collection box would go, and I also thought, "I have a lot of brand clothes and sneakers...".
Then I learned about Pickot, an upcycling service based on clothing collection, and I'm going to share my review.
I will share how to protect the environment through clothing collection and upcycling through my experience with the Pickot service.
What is the clothing upcycling service Pickot?
Pickot is an upcycling brand that was created to give new value to discarded clothes. An average of 225 tons of clothing waste is produced daily, and this clothing waste puts a significant burden on the environment, so it is important to find a way to recycle it rather than throw it away.
Pickot focuses on reusing clothes that would otherwise be discarded through clothing collection. Clothes in good condition are resold, and the remaining clothes are planned to be reformed or recycled in other ways.
In the end, instead of our precious clothes being discarded as trash, they find new uses and are reused. This can contribute to carbon reduction by reducing unnecessary clothing production, making it even more attractive.

Using the Pickot Service: Convenient Collection System
To use the Pickot service, you first need to easily sign up on the Pickot website (I connected it with KakaoTalk). After that, if you click on the collection request, you can easily leave your clothes at your doorstep.
If you live in Seoul, the Pickot team will visit and collect your clothes non-face-to-face. If you live in a local area, you can send them through a collection kit provided by Pickot (free shipping).
In our busy daily lives, you don't have to find a clothing collection place or carry your clothes with difficulty. It's really convenient because you can easily handle it at your doorstep. Pickot collects from Monday to Friday, and is closed on public holidays, so please refer to it~
Point Award After Collection, What is Pick Point?
Pickot provides a reward called Pick Point after collecting clothes. This point is given when the inspection is completed, and you can purchase products at the Pickot store operated by Pickot or withdraw it as cash. In particular, when withdrawing cash, it is possible to withdraw if it is 10,000 points or more, and a 10% commission is deducted.
For bloggers like me who do blogging or SNS activities, you can receive additional points through the verification process, which is even more advantageous. This time, I was able to receive additional points by verifying as a blogger and leaving a review. Thanks to this, I was very satisfied because I could get a reward while organizing my old athletic wear.
So how much?
I received my Pick Points two days after collection. A total of 4.88kg of collected items earned me 1000 points, and 3 B-grade items earned 3000 points. I earned a total of 4000 points. In addition, Pickot is currently running various events. New customers who request their first collection received an additional 3,000 points.
In addition, special points are given for jeans and MCM brand products. 300 points are given per pair of jeans, and 10,000 points are given per MCM product, so if you have these products, you have a chance to receive additional rewards. There is also a review event where additional points are provided if you write a review of Pickot on your blog or in a parenting cafe.
I felt really proud that I could make a small contribution to the environment by entrusting clothes that were too precious to throw away but no longer wear. It's a win-win-win situation because you can reduce clothing waste, contribute to carbon reduction, and receive real rewards, so I think I'll use it often in the future.
If you have athletic wear or clothes that you don't use anymore sleeping in your closet, try organizing them with Pickot. It'll be a three-birds-one-stone method where you can get environmental protection and economic benefits at the same time!
