Hello, I'm Runninghaeyoung, a woman who loves exercise. I'm going to introduce you to a special space where you can enjoy yoga while feeling nature and health.
Positive Hotel Yoga Seolleung is a wellness space in the city that combines a kitchen offering healthy, Mediterranean-based food and a 150-pyeong (approximately 500 sq ft) yoga studio where you can experience 20 different yoga classes curated by expert coaches.
It's located about 100 meters from exit 10 of Seolleung Station, making it very convenient. It's also close to Yeoksam and Samsung, and there's a bus stop right in front, making it a great location for those who work nearby.

Looking at the schedule, they have early morning and lunchtime yoga classes, which seems perfect for those who work nearby; you can enjoy yoga before work, shower, and head to the office. The Positive Hotel Yoga class passes can be easily purchased through the app, and I selected from over 20 programs through the app. Check-in is also easy through the app, making it convenient even for first-timers.
The yoga studio is located in the back of the building, and there's a separate lounge for yoga students. The sofas are from Eastern Edition, a premium furniture brand used in 5-star hotels, galleries, and residences – I sat down for a moment before heading in.
When I told the concierge it was my first time, they kindly gave me a consultation on wellness and yoga. I also liked the feeling of walking around barefoot. After taking off my shoes, I was given a sense of completion of the yoga environment. I stored my belongings in a locker with a personalized password and headed to my yoga class.
Mahatha Yoga The class I took was Mahatha Yoga. Most yoga studios use wood-patterned finishes, but since it's Positive Hotel, the flooring is made of oak. It felt natural and I could feel the wood grain, giving me a sense of practicing yoga in nature.
Even when the studio was full, the spacious 150-pyeong yoga studio allowed for flexible movement. I took a Mahatha Yoga class with Coach Yeodonggu, and I understand why it was fully booked... It's a signature yoga class focused on individual breath and body movement, not competition with others. I definitely felt lighter in body and mind afterward! (I succeeded in backbending!)
We practiced backbends using chairs, and with the help of the chair and proper instruction, I was able to perfect the backbend, something I had struggled with before. I also had difficulty using my neck properly, but after learning how to use blocks, I felt like I gained a better understanding of my body.
Yoga blocks and straps were readily available for both beginners and advanced practitioners, making it enjoyable for everyone.
My stiff shoulders, which had been aching from working on the computer all day, loosened up, and I was heading home feeling relaxed. The changing room also has a footbath, which was nice.
After the Positive Hotel Yoga class, they offered a wellness shot as aftercare, which contained Titcherry, orange, beet, and red berry for recovery. They told me that there are four types: detox, recovery, energy, and mindfulness, each made with ingredients tailored to their theme and prepared fresh daily in the kitchen.
After yoga, I was able to replenish my energy with healthy, Mediterranean-based food at the F&B (10% discount for yoga members). Yoga members can also purchase olive oil capsules at a 20% discount. There are many benefits to becoming a yoga member. Positive Hotel Seolleung is the perfect place to expel negativity and replenish with positivity – GOOD IN BAD OUT. I highly recommend it to yoga enthusiasts.
