Yeongju Sobaeksan Marathon: Free Food, Shuttle Buses, and More!

Registration for the 2025 Yeongju Sobaeksan Marathon has begun! This is a first for me, haha. The race provides free food and drinks to participants and their families. Plus, they offer free round-trip shuttle buses from Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Ulsan, and Busan, making it easy to enjoy the marathon.

With the support of the police station, fire station, and many other personnel, it seems unlikely there will be any mistakes… I have high expectations.

The race souvenirs haven't been finalized yet, but the course is available. The elevation changes are intense!

Course

As a regional marathon, there are many heartwarming benefits.

Free Food

Participants and their families will receive free food, including Yeongju beef, pork, apples, boiled eggs, cheese, noodles, and makgeolli (Korean rice wine), all local specialties.

Free Shuttle Bus Service

Round-trip shuttle buses will be provided from Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Ulsan, and Busan.

Free Accommodation - Event Closed

Free accommodation at "Seonbichon and Seonbi Culture Training Center" will be offered to the first 195 participants.

300,000 KRW Fuel Subsidy

Available to the first 15 teams with 35 or more participants from outside the region (5km participants excluded).

Group Tent Rental

Available to the first 60 teams with 40 or more participants.

Special Race

Half Marathon team relay race (7-person teams).

Special Awards for 100-500 Full Marathon Finishers

Trophies and prizes will be awarded to those who complete the full marathon 100 times or more (in multiples of 100, up to 500 times) at the Yeongju Sobaeksan Marathon.

Full Marathon Sub-3 Finishers

Completion medals and prizes will be awarded to those who finish the full marathon in under 3 hours.
